Career Path
I joined Scotia Capital as an associate in telecom and cable equity research in early 2005. Prior to that, I worked in the telecom equipment industry for just under three years. During my time in industry, which coincided with the tech bust, I learned the importance of financial analysis in managing corporations and decided I would make a career of it. To that end, I completed an MBA in finance and began pursuing my CFA designation. The position at Scotia Capital has been a great fit, allowing me to combine my industry background with my interest in financial analysis. Underscoring its commitment to employee development, Scotia Capital has augmented my work experience with formal financial modeling training and providing funding and time off to complete my CFA examinations.
