Typical Day

My day usually begins around 8:30 and I usually start my day by checking news headlines to see if there are any events that could affect my current projects. Pretty soon there are calls to answer, emails to write, meetings to attend, and my day starts shaping up.

My time at my desk is spent preparing client presentations, creating financial models, and writing various documents. However, on any given day, I have client meetings and conference calls, as well as internal meetings to coordinate resources within Scotia Capital. After a full day of work, I try to get to the gym before dinner, I then head back to the office to finish up my tasks and prepare for the next day. It is true that no two days are the same in investment banking and that is half the fun and excitement.
