Summer Positions
A number of positions become available for summer students within various departments of Scotia Capital. Positions are primarily for the Toronto location, although there may be Investment Banking and Equity Research Opportunities in Calgary and Vancouver, and Corporate Banking opportunities in New York.
At Scotia Capital, our goal is to provide summer students with a valuable learning experience and great networking opportunities.
Summer students work closely with our experienced team of professionals to gain a deeper understanding of our products and services. Part of this experience includes working on client presentations and assisting in the execution of deal transactions. Planned social activities provide the opportunity to meet other summer students, as well as members of the Scotia Capital team. For students wanting to pursue a career in the financial sector, the Scotia Capital summer experience will prove to be a great leap!

The Application Process
- Summer positions are advertised at your respective school in December.
- The application period is is now open through to January 8, 2010.
- Only the applications received during the application period will be given due consideration.
- Students may apply for more than one position.
- To apply for a summer position, please review the "How to Apply" section below.
The Interview Process
- Applicants selected for an interview will be notified by January 15, 2010.
- Successful candidates will be invited for at least two rounds of interviews.
- The interview is both behavioral and technical.
- Typically, job offers are extended to the successful candidate by the end of February.

Scotia Capital has co-op opportunities throughout the year. Information regarding these positions will be posted at your school's career center.
