Corporate Banking Associate - Summer - U.S.

Summer Associate positions are currently available in our New York office within the following industry groups: Power, Real Estate, Diversified, Private Equity Sponsorship Coverage, Municipal Finance, Asset Back Finance, and Corporate Finance & Distribution.

The Summer Associate will work in Corporate Banking with Directors in structuring and negotiating credit transactions and cross-selling derivatives, equity capital market instruments, precious and base metals and foreign exchange. The Summer Associate provides support in the development of business with prospect companies and the maintenance/enhancement of relationships with existing accounts. The Summer Associate has two major roles: to strengthen the existing relationships by providing high quality account administration and to assist in developing new business through the analysis and structuring of transactions.

The Summer Associate position requires financial, accounting, and computer skills (financial modeling) along with excellent written and oral communication skills. Prior banking and/or credit experience is required. This is a complex and demanding environment requiring considerable initiative, creativity and good judgment. A high level of energy, commitment, and a strong sense of teamwork are needed to succeed. The position faces constant deadlines and clients looking for decisions in short time frames. Accordingly evening and weekend work is often required.
