Position Highlights
The Associate is an entry-level position in Corporate Banking to work with Directors in structuring and negotiating credit transactions and cross-selling derivatives, equity capital market instruments, precious metals and foreign exchange. The Associate provides support in the development of business with prospect companies and the maintenance/enhancement of relationships with existing accounts. The Associate has two major roles: to strengthen the existing relationships by providing high quality account administration and to assist in obtaining new business through the analysis and structuring of transactions.
The amount of travel is limited during the first year. However, as experience is gained, traveling overnight once or twice a month can be expected.
Requirements:
- MBA to be completed by Spring 2008
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment with minimal supervision and under time pressure
- Attention to detail
- Creativity and initiative
- Prior Banking or Credit experience
- Permanent US Working Status.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management of an existing loan portfolio by conducting annual reviews and quarterly reviews on high-risk accounts
- Analyzing credit risk and preparing presentations for Corporate Credit Committee
- Negotiating credit terms and documentation with Corporate Credit, creditors and other banks
- Assisting in analyzing, preparing, and presenting analysis of optimal capital structures for major corporations
- Assisting the portfolio manager in identifying and providing Bank services and cross-selling opportunities (i.e., credit, interest rate & foreign exchange hedging, and international trade finance) to existing corporate customers and prospects
- Industry analysis and other special projects.
